She is More Precious Than Rubies...

Rubies July Birthstone

Rubies are the gemstone of July. Adored for their richness and depth, rubies were once treasured by ancient cultures, who believed they held the power to life. For most celebrities, rubies have been a popular choice for red carpet events. Our favourite example of how best to rock rubies is from the flawless up and coming English actress Annabelle Wallis at the 2016 British Academy of Film and Television Arts. In a ravishing red Oscar De La Renta halter-neck gown, Wallis accessorised with Chopard chandelier ruby and diamond earrings.

They are the perfect gemstone to compliment any evening outfit. Who would have thought a pastel pink dress could be paired so well with dramatic ruby drop earrings. Our proof… Gwyneth Paltrow who looked breathtaking at last year’s Oscars. Mila Kunis has also been seen styling an off the shoulder Dolce & Gabbana gown with large African ruby earrings. Other red carpet favourites, like Anna Kendrick and Emily Blunt have also been spotted wearing the elegant gemstone.

Style tip: Be sure to show off your ruby earrings by slicking your hair in a bun or pony tail.
