Emerald Necklaces
Find perfect emerald necklaces online and in store at Grahams.
Emerald is the gem of spring, and the May birthstone. Its vivid saturation and incredible green colour make it an exquisite feature of necklaces and pendants.
Natural emeralds often have several inclusions. Don’t worry, these markings don’t have as much effect on quality as other stones, and certainly won’t take away from the joy Emerald brings you. These inner markings are endearingly referred to as ‘jardin’ (or ‘garden’) for their moss-like appearance.
Find the perfect emerald necklaces today by visiting one of our five store locations or browsing online. You can sparkle now and pay later with finance options available through Zip, humm, Afterpay, Laybuy or Latitude Interest Free. Receive free shipping when you spend $69 or more.
Can emeralds be worn everyday?
Contrary to popular belief, Emerald is a very hard stone. It rates 7.5- -8 on Mohs Hardness Scale (for comparison, ruby and sapphire sit a 9). This means they are highly resistant to scratching. However, emeralds can be more susceptible to chipping because of their inclusions. You can certainly wear emeralds everyday without any problems, but it pays to look after them with some extra care.
It may be worth cleaning your emerald jewellery lightly with water if it has caught any dirt. Just avoid soaking it for long periods of time and wearing it in the shower.
Are emeralds rare?
Emeralds are the rarest of the ‘precious’ stones. Inclusion-free emeralds are extremely rare, and one of the most sought after gemstones in the world.
What does emerald symbolise?
Emerald green is the colour of life and spring. The Emerald gemstone is associated with nature, love and beauty.
